Call the salon that did your extensions and they can suggest a glue remover. You can also try the drug store, or a hair care store like Sally's.

Try WD-40

Hey you can thumbs down my WD-40, but I guarantee it would work. It is, after all a non-adhesive. So would goo-gone, like someone else said.

you get some conditioner and they will come straight out

you should have better sense than to allow them to glue anything into your hair.

I am glad you are taking them out. I had extensions glued in when I was 19 and after six months when I took them out my hair was thin and brittle. The stylist who put them in had quit that salon so the salon wouldn't help me. My mom finally had to apply Goo-Gone with a q-tip and pick the glue out of my hair. After the glue was gone I washed my hair with strengthening shampoos and conditioners. Goo-Gone isn't the nicest thing to use on your hair but it worked for me. Good luck to you.

You need to find out what type of glue the stylist used to put in the extensions. Once you know the brand of glue you can start looking for a remover that will work on it. You can always have the stylist that put them in take them out too. If you cant find out what type of glue it is you might try and oil or head and shoulders shampoo. Head and shoulders is loaded with sulfates that break down most hair extension bonding adhesives. Oil may work too by loosening up the bonding glue.

Apply heat to the glue area, like a flat iron or a hair dryer, and the glue should start to soften and then it will be easier to take them out. My friends do each others extensions in class and this is the way I've seen them remove them.
