I've had long hair. Actually, I just got it cut. Mine reached about my mid-back and i had also tried everything. SO here's what I did:

I wore it in half ponytails, side ponys, headbands, ponytails with headbands, a side half ponytail (my fave), and braided pig tails.

But the best thing I did was cut it. Now my hair reaches about 2 inches below my shoulders and you wouldn't beleive the compliments i've gotten! plus its so much easier to handle.
