in that case, i think short, about top of the shoulder. the truth is, depending on their age and personality, most girls don't take meticulous care of their hair. i think long hair is really beautiful when it is pampered and brushed. generally, girls are kind of hard on their hair (just one example, running around in the wind and then amidst a million tangles, trying to force a brush through their underconditioned strands). At the shoulder length, the hair stays more healthy (which is always cuter) and it's easier to care for.

IMPORTANT NOTE!

Unless a girl gets a super short cut that doesn't hang in her face at all when she's working on something or reading a book or doing sports, it should absolutely still be long enough to put in a pony tail!

Hmm, I think it really depends on the guy, but I think a good long length is at the small of the back, and a good short length is slightly above the shoulders, and then of course all the inbetweens haha xD

And as far as which one is better, it all depends on your face shape, hair texture, etc, etc, but really, if a girl can pull off whatever kind of hair she has, it's normally pretty hot haha = )

Too long is longer than waist length, to short is like a pixie cut....If I had to choose between Long and Short, it'd have to be bob length, But that's only because I have really long hair, since I was born.

My opinion as a female, shoulder to waist length, healthy hair looks best, curly, straight or whatever, any color is great as long as it is well cared for! Anything longer than that, looks as if a person is really trying to make a statement, and it starts to look not so feminine.

A persons hair can really never be too short, some ladies look great bald even. But either way, I admire the natural look. If you can grow it, go for it = )

I would say too long would be longer than half way down your back. Too short would be anything that makes you look butch. It's different for everyone. (I prefer chin to shoulder length hair...for girls.) If you are talking about guys, that is a whole other story! haha

Long hair is pretty only when it is taken care of, I am a stylist and I just cringe when I see hair down to someones butt and they have 8 inches of dead ends, it's not only immature but lazy. I don't think hair can ever be too short, it all depends on the person though, short hair just doesn't go well with some people if you know what I mean. Most people however can pull off short hair (even if they don't think they can, 87% of woman can wear short hair and look good, the difference is between a good short hair cut and a bad one) but some people however can't, especially bald, even Demi Moore or Britney Spears can't pull bald off too well.

Well, most beauty experts say that hair below your breast area after 19 years of age isn't the best way to go.

Some people can pull it off, though I wouldn't recommend it, seeing as how they're the exception to the rule.

I personally love chicks rocking short hair - some people will be idiotic homophobes and say that short hair on a girl denotes homosexuality/is "butch", but a) I know a TON of ladies with short hair who are very straight and more often than not, the confidence it takes to wear really short hair is attractive to almost everyone, and b) there's nothing wrong with being gay. :)

I personally love short hair on girls. One of my friends is absolutely gorgeous, really tall and model-like and decided to shave her head. She looks AMAZING. It all depends on how confident you are - she was, and she rocks no hair at all. lol

I think short hair is better, just in my opinion, but long hair is beautiful too. I think any hair hanging unstyled past the small of your back isn't that attractive, but if it's all part of how they're rocking ther own style, it's all good.

You stop getting extra utility from long hair when it is much longer than mid-back. However, shoulder length hair is too short for some people (like me). So the best length for me is just to the bottom of my bra. I'd say below the waist is almost always too long and above the chin is usually too short to be flattering

Personally, for me too long when you put it in a high ponytail and it's past your shoulders. Too short is when your hair can't go in a ponytail.

I love the just past the shoulders look. But the short chin length is in now.
